Indooroopilly Outside School Hours Care is a long established service that prides itself on the high quality of professional education and care we provide.

With approval for 285 places, we are one of the largest OSHC and vacation care services in Queensland.

Our philosophy is to support parents and caregivers by providing a safe, stable and caring environment before the school day begins, at the end of the school day, during term breaks and on pupil free days. Our services are available on a full time, part time or casual basis.

Indooroopilly has three Assistant Coordinator positions, all of whom report to the Deputy Coordinators.Primarily a contact position, each Assistant Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of one of the junior, middle or senior rooms.

The position will also have a non-contact role with administrative and management duties, including being rostered as the responsible person in charge for opens and closes.

Working with a team of educators, the position will require an experienced, professional manager with a strong knowledge and understanding of the complex environment that is a modern outside school hours care operation.

This is a permanent full time position that would be most suited to a person who is seeking a long term career in outside school hours care.


· Support the Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators in the overall management of the service;

· Assist in the effective administration of the service;

· Undertake the role of responsible person in charge of the service as required;

· Ensure that at all times that the service operates in compliance with all relevant legislation, the National Quality Standards and the My Time, Our Place framework;

· Oversee and deliver developmentally appropriate educational programs in accordance with the philosophies of the My Time, Our Place framework;

· Oversee and implement age appropriate behaviour management strategies as required;

· Ensure that all policies and procedures, including operational compliance and continuous improvement processes, are strictly adhered to at all times;

· Assist in the ongoing development of staff;

· Develop and maintain an effective system of communication within the service and wider school community;


Terms and conditions are as per the parents and citizens associations award 2020 as amended or other applicable Industrial Instrument if appropriate, or required. Above award salary may be negotiated with an exceptional candidate.


· Diploma, Advanced Diploma, higher qualification in a relevant field; or agreed equivalent qualifications and/or experience.

· Current Positive Notice for Working with Children (Blue Card), or equivalent.

· Current First Aid qualifications or ability to obtain them prior to commencement.
