JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Do you have a burning desire to help people learn how to stay safe in Wind Turbine Environments?
  • Do you have Cert. IV qualifications in Training and Assessment?
  • Would you love travelling to the beautiful countryside of Australia?
  • Do you have experience in delivering Safe Work at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Awareness training?
  • At least 2 weeks of travel per month required.


Our client is a specialist RTO, being one of the world leaders in the delivery of training and assessment of programmes at working Wind Turbine Farms around Australia. They are currently seeking a Trainer to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate training programmes, whilst ensuring that contractual and compliance requirements for the delivery of programmes are met.


Key Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Deliver structured, flexible, relevant and interesting training sessions and assist all students to achieve their training goals.
  • Plan, initiate and conduct assessments, including recognition of prior learning, to students.
  • Implement a continual improvement process regarding the training and assessment duties by acknowledging and acting on feedback from students and clients.
  • Complete and maintain all documentation related to training ensuring that records are complete, thorough, and accurate, and that confidentiality is maintained.
  • Provide guidance and couselling to students, assisting in every way to ensure that training outcomes are met and that individuals succeed in their endeavours.
  • Maintain a thorough and complete understanding of, and ensure compliance with, all policies and procedures, AQTF Standards and legal obligations related to the Company and the services it delivers.
  • Prepare and submit reports in relation to training and assessment, risk management, continuous improvement and assessment moderation and validation practices.


To be considered for this role:

  • Current Cert. IV Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Qualifications and industry experience relevant to training programmes delivered.
  • Senior First Aid or equivalent.
  • Current Manual Drivers License.
  • Knowledge of the latest requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
  • Industry experience relevant to training programmes delivered.
  • Thorough working knowledge of relevant WHS Legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice pertaining to course areas.
  • Highly motivated and professional manner.
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative, think clearly and act quickly in the event of an emergency.
  • Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A level of physical fitness to lead practical training tasks.
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in delivering Safe Work at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Awareness is desirable.
