Your new role

  • This role is accountable for the delivery and evaluation of early childhood support relating to Autism Spectrum and providing information, advice and direct services that enhance family support, individual development and quality of life.
  • Applying professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated range of supports appropriate to the needs of the individual and their families/carers that are outcomes based and goals focused
  • Applying professional competence to deliver services for individuals and their families that reflect evidence-informed practice
  • Providing professional support to educators and families
  • Providing developmental and behavioral support programs for individuals and families
  • Providing post diagnostic appointments for families with children under school age
  • Facilitating successful inclusion of families and individuals
  • Participating in expos and facilitating parent groups as required
  • Working collaboratively and developing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed


Working for Autism SA as an Early Intervention Consultant you will need qualification in Disability, Developmental Education, Early Childhood Education, or other relevant qualification and experience.


Experience in developing and delivering training programs and tailored support packages is desirable.


This is a full-time position. The successful applicant will be offered a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
