Remuneration: $56,245 - $60,733 + superannuation(based on qualification and experience) pro-rata for part time



Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute are the TAFE trading brands of Bendigo Kangan Institute. We are one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers, with over 40,000 enrolled students per annum. We offer vocational training to students from all over the northern metro corridor as well as Loddon Campaspe regions. We are currently seeking an experienced Recruitment & Enrolment Officer to join our Commercial team at Richmond Campus.

The Role:

This position is the initial contact point for a wide variety of enquiries from prospective students, existing students, staff and other stakeholders across BKI; in person, via telephone or other electronic media/systems. It is focused on the timely and accurate provision of information, advice or referral for all customers and delivery of administration support within any area of BKI.

While the role is primarily responsible for contact centre operations, the expectation is that you will respond to emails, face to face reception and undertake administrative tasks associated with the student enquiry and enrolment process as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • An appropriate certificate level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training in providing high level customer service and administrative support.
  • A high level of skill with Microsoft Office, Student Management Systems and student user interfaces
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) Assessment Notice and/or WWC card
  • Police Check
  • Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
  • Experience working in a call centre environment is a MUST.
  • General knowledge of education and/or admissions and student recruitment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively manage customers
