We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

Selection Criteria for Cert III

Certificate III in Children's ServicesMinimum of 6 months childcare sector experienceProven ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staffA good level of physical fitnessAbility to assist in implementing the centre's program to meet the developmental needs and interests of each childCommitment to inclusive practices and child protectionUnderstanding of occupational health and safety and the National Quality StandardRequired to have a current Working with Children check issued by the Children's guardian.

Selection Criteria For Diploma Educators

Diploma of Community Services (Children's Services) or equivalentSound understanding of early childhood theory and curriculum planning for children 0-5 yearsProven ability to communicate effectively with children and familiesDemonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team teaching contextA good level of physical fitnessTrack record of actively contributing to the efficient and effective operation/development of a high quality child care serviceKnowledge of EEO practices, WHS policies and environmental sustainability principles and proceduresMaintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's GuardianCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificationIdentify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)Commitment to inclusive practices and child protectionUnderstanding of occupational health and safety and the National Quality FrameworkAbility to adhere to all Big Fat Smile policies and procedures.

Selection Criteria For Early Childhood Teachers
