PPT – 3IC OSHC Leader

School Plus are specialists in providing high quality Outside School Hours Care Services to children across South East Queensland. Role

We are seeking to employ a PPT 3IC Leader. This is a permanent part time role of 20-35 hours. In this leadership role, you will assist with managing the operations of the service and leading a team of passionate educators while building trusting partnerships with all families, children and the community. You will also be co-leading the development of fun programs, daily routines and menus each day for up to 100 children attending the service.

To be successful, you will need:

· Proven leadership experience in an OSHC or Childcare industry to support a team of passionate educators with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, empowerment and engagement

· Programming experience and an understanding of the National Quality Framework

· The highest level of initiative: we would love someone who sees an opportunity and takes it

· Strong interpersonal skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and well-developed emotional intelligence

The successful applicant should also possess:

· At least 2-3 years’ experience working with children, preferably in an OSHC environment

· A Diploma or higher qualification in child services, education or human services (or actively working towards) with previous experience as in OSHC leadership role

· Have a working knowledge of current childcare legislation, including the MTOP framework and the National Quality Framework

· Hold a current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain

· A current Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

Hours of work are varied:

· 6.00am - 9.00am Before School Care

· 2.00pm - 6.00pm - After School Care

· Various shifts during vacation care

· Plus, additional administration and planning time
