We have several sessional/ casual teaching opportunities for psychology postgraduate experts in online education.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for psychology industry professionals and educators with subject matter expertise and a passion for online education and student success. We want people we can count on. You will be self-motivated, dependable, innovative, and proactive. You will be able to work remotely. We want people who are familiar with facilitating online educational courses remotely and who can develop a strong relationship with academics, support staff, and students. You will have a remote working environment that allows you to deliver a high-quality student experience.
We are currently seeking online tutors with expertise in their respective psychology fields to facilitate courses within our Graduate Diploma in Psychology.
About the Role
The Online Tutors are responsible for undertaking online course teaching and assessment to support academic delivery of managed programs within our partnerships with Australian universities. The Online Tutor ensures that courses are delivered to a high standard, by supporting continued student engagement and academic success for students of Pearson’s university partners. This role is not responsible for delivery planning or design/development of online course curriculum/materials.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
A completed Masters in Psychology or Ph.D. in Psychology.
Appropriate subject knowledge and skills relevant to the subject/s being taught.
A commitment to maintaining currency in field/s of technical expertise, through continuing scholarship or advances in practice.
A strong commitment to delivering high-quality contemporary learning activities via online technologies to enhance the student experience and learning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with a diverse range of students and stakeholders.
A commitment to continuous professional development in online teaching and assessment practice.
1 years' experience in an online teaching role, ideally in higher education.
Preferred:
A vocational or tertiary qualification in teaching adults, such as a Diploma in Adult Education or Graduate Certificate Learning and Teaching.
Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
The ability to work flexible hours during the academic year including days and evenings.
