The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Fixed-term position available until 31 December 2021

Working under limited direction, the Senior Industry Relations Officer is responsible for the delivery of key corporate activities aimed at strategically enhancing institutional reputation and relationships with key industry stakeholders. The Senior Industry Relations Officer will play an integral role in the ongoing implementation and management of the Industry Engagement Framework and associated Industry Advisory Boards.

The Senior Industry Relations Officer will support the industry engagement strategy through a range of activities including the delivery of strategic University activities focused on showcasing the work of the University to a range of key external stakeholders including official openings and launches, VIP visits, corporate events, public lectures etc.

The External Relations Branch comprises of three units i.e. Advancement Office, Media and Corporate Relations and Cultural & Campus Events. The Branch has been created to develop and foster partnerships and links with business, government, alumni and the community and to optimise the effectiveness and efficiency of engagement activities, including communications, within one portfolio.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships especially with industry stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in leading the development and deployment of events, activities and projects which are designed to strategically enhance institutional reputation.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and implementing communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to be self-organised and adaptable to effectively prioritise multiple concurrent projects and work within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
