Capital college is one of Canberra’s leading CRICOS Registered Training Organisation (RTO's) focused on offering the best vocational education and training (VET) courses for its students.

It provides a professional and supportive work environment for its staff.

The role

We are growing our services so are looking for a full time Student Services Administrator who will provide support to our students providing exceptional customer service.

The Student Services Administrator is the first point of contact with students and as such, the ability to engage and build trust is imperative. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to go the extra mile to assist students - someone who is good at listening and problem solving.

Previous experience working in an RTO environment would be highly regarded but more importantly candidates must would have previous experience working with students and/or first point of contact experience.

Your role will involve:

  • Being part of the student onboarding team
  • Acting as point of contact for students
  • Liaising with both staff and students
  • Maintaining student files and ensuring accuracy in our Student Management System and Learning management system
  • Data entry
  • Supporting team members with general administrative duties

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Administration or customer service experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Experience in an environment that focusses on supporting students.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System e.g. Canvas or similar, and a Student Management System or client data base to record relevant data.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A cert iii in business would be highly regarded.
  • Documented right to work full time in Australia.
