Job Description:
This Federal Government Department is seeking a EL1 Assistant Director, Leadership Development, to join their team.
Initially through till June 2021, this contract role has the possibility of extension and is an opportunity to secure your future with a leading Government organization.
As Assistant Director, Leadership Development you will be part of a small dynamic team working at the Centre for Leadership and Capability. With key responsibilities of developing leadership capability within the APS, you will need to be a skilled learning and development practitioner, who has experience with procurement processes and partnering with providers to co-design and refresh programs by using current evaluation data as well as engaging with key stakeholders to understand emerging needs at the SES level.
In this role you will be part of the team responsible for the delivery of the suite of leadership programs for SES and EL employees across the APS.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated capability and experience in:
designing and developing leadership programs that reflect current research and theory and deliver high quality learning opportunities
building, maintaining and managing relationships with providers of leadership development programs
leading and managing tender processes, including being part of the evaluation process
building a strong and capable APS workforce through effective leadership
team management and leadership with experience building the capabilities of your team in the workplace
maintaining and promoting exemplary levels of integrity and ethical behaviour.
