Role Description/Criteria
St Paul's, Primary School, Coburg, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and dynamic teacher to join our Year 5/6 team to begin any time in term 1 or beginning of Term2. St Paul’s values professional development, learning dialogues and a focus on student learning and improvement. We believe that all teachers should have high expectations and ensure that all students experience success as learners. This is a 1.0 (FTE) fixed term position, with the possibility of ongoing.

The successful applicant must demonstrate:
- a passion for teaching and learning,
- an ongoing commitment to professional growth,
- contemporary teaching and learning knowledge and practices,
- an understanding of personalised learning,
- highly effective teaching strategies in Mathematics and Literacy,
- use data to plan effective learning and teaching in Maths and Literacy,
- able to facilitate student learning using Evidence Based Learning practices,
- highly effective use of digital technologies to engage students and improve student outcomes,
- an ability to help build and contribute to a positive team environment,
- a commitment to building positive relationships with students, parents and staff,
- work in partnership with parents to support the wellbeing and learning of all at our school,
- a strong commitment to student wellbeing and child safety,
- a sound knowledge and commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education,
- strive for excellence through collaboration, communication and feedback.
The successful candidate must be organised, enthusiastic and a dedicated member of our professional learning team.
The applicant must:
- demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and practice of the Catholic School .
- have current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable.
