About The Role
The successful applicant will undertake an exciting program of research into a new generation of nanoscale superconducting devices, actively contributing to device design, fabrication and low-temperature measurement and engaging with a team of national and international researchers to fully explore the capabilities of these devices and to disseminate results of the research.
About You
- A PhD or equivalent in physical biosciences or a relevant area of physics
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Research experience in the nanofabrication techniques i.e. E-beam lithography, scanning electron microscopy and photolithography applied to material systems such as silicon
- Research experience in low temperature measurement using a He dilution fridge.
- Research experience with the experimental and theoretical characterisation of superconducting materials.
