Casual Out of School Hours Care Assistant, commencing as soon as possible

Melbourne Grammar School (MGS) is one of Australia's leading boarding and day schools, offering exceptional education to all of its students.

MGS has an excellent and well-established Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) programme at Grimwade House, catering for children from Prep to Year 6. The School provides before and after school care, as well as holiday programmes. Attendance averages around 60 children per day, however this may vary from day-to-day.

We are seeking a casual Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Assistant to work within specially designed OSHC rooms. The role is a key member of a dedicated team that supervise and engage children in a rewarding programme that encourages children to have fun and build upon their knowledge, within a safe and caring environment.

The OSHC Assistant must hold or be enrolled in an approved qualification, recognised by Australian Childrens Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). They will also be required to hold or obtain the following:

  • A current Employee Working with Children Check
  • An appropriate first aid training certificate, including Level 2 First Aid qualifications, CPR and anaphylaxis and asthma management training
  • Previous experience and/or a Food Safety Handling certificate would be considered an advantage.
