Established in 1987, hey dee ho has been providing educational programs and entertainment to children and their parents across Australia and are looking for passionate people to join our team in Ipswich.

Formal qualifications and experience are preferred but not essential, as we provide all training. However you need to be a confident, energetic singer or performer with a professional attitude and dedicated passion to making a difference in the lives of our most precious resource - children.

As a hey dee ho music presenter you will be provided full training, both in person and online. All programs are scripted with music (backing tracks), props and class plans provided to minimise your preparation time. No formal qualifications are required, (you do not need to be able to play an instrument) however you need to be a confident, energetic singer or performer with a professional attitude and dedicated passion to making a difference in the lives of our most precious resource - children. A hey dee ho music presenter has a great sense of humour and loves dramatic play so if music is your passion, you will need to be a tuneful singer and to be prepared to get down on the floor with the children, dance and join in all activities wholeheartedly. If you have always secretly imagined yourself as a presenter on playschool then this is the job you have been looking for.

Work is generally for between 1-2 hours in the mornings and afternoons during school terms. Hey dee ho aims to schedule work close to where you live to maximise your earning potential. After the initial training you will be required to work autonomously. Ideally you will be available a minimum of 3 days per week. As we are a mobile service, you must have your own transport, regular internet access and a current Working with Children Check. You are employed on a casual basis and we provide insurance, work cover and superannuation for all our teachers.

This position is suited to early childhood educators, musicians and parents who want to set up a part time job around their family commitments. It also suits those who wish to supplement their current teaching or performance roles.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

You must be a strong, confident singer/performer

Previous experience working with children is a definite advantage. All program material is provided at no cost to you.

A driver's licence and car is ESSENTIAL for this role
