About the Role
The role of Maintenance Worker supports the Property Manager in ensuring that Canberra Grammar Whole School Campus grounds, buildings and equipment are well presented, maintained, physically secure and compliant with all appropriate regulations to provide a safe environment for the whole School community. A member of a multi-trade team who have oversight and management of minor construction work and all maintenance involved in the provision of outstanding facilities for all Staff and Students at Canberra Grammar School. The Canberra Grammar School Campus is made up of approximately 30 buildings ranging in age from 1 through to 90 years.
This position is part of the Property Department that resides within the Business Office, with direct day to day management provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.
This role is best suited to a candidate who is flexible, pro-active and has a genuine desire to learn a multitude of jobs whilst developing their role within the Property Department, with no two days the same. The selection criteria follows:
Previous maintenance experience desirable
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling
Must be able to work at heights when required
Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Clear communication skills and a courteous professional manner
Current First Aid training (or willingness to obtain this)
Working with Vulnerable People card (WWVP), National Police Records check
Drivers Licence
