- Mt Rawdon is located 75km southwest of Bundaberg, QLD
- Flexible with roster
- Accommodation is provided as you must reside locally whilst on shift.
This position is responsible for supporting the HST Superintendent to apply, implement, establish and review the Mt Rawdon Mine Safety & Health Management System including the effective operation of the training and assessment system, Mine Training Scheme and emergency response capability.
Other duties will include:
- Establish and maintain an understanding of legislative and corporate requirements, including Evolution Standards, QLD Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health legislation.
- Facilitate and lead the development and review of Critical Control Bowties
- Conduct and maintain the safety, health, and training functions for the operation.
- Facilitate and lead incident investigations using ICAM process.
- Provide coaching and mentoring site safety representatives and workforce on safety, training, assessment and record management.
- Auditing and verification to ensure that required records are maintained and that the quality of the records is consistent with Legislation, Evolution and site standards.

You will have:
- Tertiary or TAFE formal safety & health qualifications
- Certificate IV TAE40110 Training and Assessment
- Sound experience working in a similar capacity within a Health Safety & Training related discipline with exposure to mining or resources industry
- Understanding and application of current Health Safety & Training practices and legislation
- Demonstrated ability to understand functionality of enterprise risk and training systems.

About Mt Rawdon
Our Mt Rawdon gold operation is an open pit mine located 75km south west of Bundaberg in Queensland. Being a residential mine, our local employees go home every night, with many living in the communities of Mt Perry and Gin Gin. Our lifestyle friendly rosters give mean that our DIDO employees can live in the metropolitan centres of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, giving our employees a great work-life balance.
