We currently have two (2) permanent full time appointments available for immediate filling, in the:
Policy and Economics team that provides regional development advice; identifies challenges/opportunities facing WA’s regions; develops policy solutions and advice; and undertake economic and policy analysis.
Portfolio Leadership team that leads the accountability processes for the Regional Development Commissions; coordinates regional business planning; provides secretariat support for a number of advisory committees; and provides advisory and research support to the Regional Development Trust.
We are seeking to establish a pool of suitably qualified applicants for the role of Principal Policy Officers. The pool will be valid for a period of twelve (12) months following finalisation of the process and may be used to fill permanent and fixed term, full time and part time opportunities that may arise in this period. Please note, being appointed to the pool does not guarantee you placement to a position.
The Principal Policy Officer will lead the development, implementation and review of strategic policy frameworks and responses to enable achievement of the Department’s planned outcomes and alignment with broader government objectives. In this position you will provide strategic evidence based advice and support to the Executive and Director General and to shape the Department’s forward program for policy development and implementation through the use of economic modelling.

Interstate and /or interstate travel may be required.
This position is located in Perth Metropolitan.

- Work Related Requirements 4 – Think strategically: Highly developed analytical and problem solving abilities and able to deliver objective, timely and evidence-based advice to decision makers.
